What it really means to surrender

For a long time I was confused on how to surrender. How can you hold onto a vision, intention or dream but also totally let go of it at the same time?

The first thing we think of when it comes to surrendering is external. Perhaps an opportunity comes that isn’t the exact one you want. Or maybe you and your partner want two different things. In these cases, would you “surrender” to your partner or the opportunity?

This is where most make a mistake. Because it actually doesn’t matter what you do on the outside.

Surrendering is 100% an inside job.

Ask yourself this. Whatever you choose, can you totally and completely accept it? And can you genuinely FEEL that way?

Most people are not surrendered internally even if it seems like they’ve surrendered on the outside. And that’s why surrendering hasn’t been “working” or just seems like you’re just compromising your boundaries.

Genuinely feeling surrendered internally is a much more difficult task then just surrendering on the outside. It requires you to master your internal world, to be able to full process uncomfortable emotions that comes with things happening on the outside that you don’t want.

The reason surrendering internally is so powerful is because once you process and release those uncomfortable emotions, you start to feel content with your life exactly how it is in the present moment.

This is when you enter the frequency of wholeness - where your manifestation lies. Paradoxically, you won't feel like you need it anymore because you've removed any feeling of lack and separation between you and your manifestation.

“Surrendering” your goals and dreams ultimately just means you’ve given up the need to have it fulfill you internally. You can still move towards them, but there is no longer any expectation of the outcome. Just enjoyment of the process.

This is when you have totally let it go - when you have truly surrendered.
